Crash Moreau performed the opening night show with a FIRST of a Steel Wall Crash while towing a Camper Trailer. This act went perfect as the car flipped over the club cab Ford pick-up and totally wiped out the trailer as planned. The crowd went wild.

3 Big acts went off that night. Not the best performance in my opinion as things went wrong. First on the crane drop the crane would only reach about 80 feet which meant the drop was only about 60 feet. Mr. Hardcore almost hung himself with his shoulder harness set up. I had to replace him in the trailer trash which he was to shook up to do. I got into his car and the air bags were still left in which he was told to take out earlier in the day. Then the promoter wanted the Double School Bus Crash set up closer than they should be which I was suppose to do but all day long they wanted Rocky to do it. So I gave in to Rocky's crying to the promoters but off coarse he got hurt and I had to do it anyway. When I went out to come around for the hit their was a school bus parked in my way which I had to swerve around than back the other way as the trailer was along the wall on the opposite side so I lost my speed of the 10 speed diesel truck but still charged the buses and knocked them down. Because the 2 buses were to close I did not get the second one up and over. Overall the 3 stunts did look good but they were not up to my standards.

Doug Danger's Legions Stunt Show

After 4 days of filming setting up the acts and interviews we performed live for the cameras. With only 6 stunts performed for the show. I set up 3 of the stunts and performed one. After the show ended a lite rain started falling as we loaded up and doing exit interviews. My 3 acts that I set up was the Car Explosion which Rocky Hardcore was inside of the car and walked on fire. The pyro for this act was set up by myself. Than it was a three car Steel Wall Crash in which this time I called my 3 car Bowling Ball Steel Wall. Than we used my ramps for a Divebomber Crash into a full size Motorhome executed by Rocky. It will be a big surprise to the wrecker crew when they pick-up the motorhome as it now has a full size car parked inside and no way to just pull it out. Other acts that was filmed was Rocket Re and his 4 flaming firewall motorcycle stunt. Doug Danger's Wheelies and the finale of Doug and Lou with an opposing side by side cross jump in which both rides jumped the same size ramps but coming from oposite ways. Show announcing was done by Californian Daredevil Doug Klang. Also helping out was bicycle jumper Mercury Morgan of New York and Wrongway Bellinger of Mass.

An afternoon thunderstorm past thru which cancelled the race program. A good thing as more thunder storms passed thru during the evening.

I called in Rocky Hardcore to do the actual drop for me. This was his first drop which landed perfect. I set the act up and during a test drop we had a malfunction with the quick release as we had it put on upside down and wouldn't release. May 23 Travel Day
After the show at Outlaw I drove to Tulsa to catch a plane to Hartford, Ct. This day my car I had reserved was not their and nothing was available. I had to take a cab into Hartford and rented a U-Haul. (more to come on this subject)

An afternoon show that was cold, a few showers came thru and after they left it got windy and the dirt started blowing. I once again performed the two stunts that I did the night before. After the show I headed back to Maine for 2 days and headed to Georgia.

Once again I had Rocky Hardcore come down to help out as we had to do the acts between races and could not pre-set anything. The first act was the car-explosion and jumped everyone when I set the explosion off. Everyone could feel the heat and said it was loud. One person told me late that night someone a mile or so away heard and felt the blast at Wal-mart. The next act was a single steel wall into a swinging door the last thing of the night which was about 12:30 AM. It took awhile to setr the car up as it was on a banked track and made a few problems standing up. Good thing I changed it to one instead of a triple.

A dark and damped day with threating rain that did not come which kept the crowd down. I performed a single steel wall and car explosion with firewalk. Next I had Wrongway attempt his first automobile roll-over crash which he did find 3/4 roll. The fire chief said it was raining about 30 miles south of the track. What LUCK!

Showers were around most of the day, except during the show. About an hour later the rain came in in buckets than cleared. I did a single steel wall crash and a car explosion and fire walk. Wrongway used the steel wall car after my crash for a roll-over his 2nd. This time he did a 1 and1/2.

After my 2 hour drive from Rutland we finally found out what we were going to do at the Valley. First I had Rocky Hardcore go thru 2 camper trailers sideways as I set up a firery explosion, Justin Wrongway flipped the switch. Rocky toatally destroyed the second camper. Than it was on to the feature stunt of driving a semi truck and trailer under a school bus standing on it's rear end (steel wall) by Rocky. I did all the prep work and the explosion set up as he hit. Wrongway flipped the switch to the pyro. One of the most spectacular acts that has been presented at the Valley. Also a first for a semi truck. After the act it took around 20 minutes to lift the bus that was partially caught on the trailer off by a large tow truck. This was a show in itself as the bus was so rotted that the roof was just about off. A little while later both Rocky and myself did a leap off a 6 foot high dirt pile. We was suppose to jump side by side but because of the junk that was left by the trailer race on the track it was kind of hard to get a clear pass to the dirt ramp. Rocky was a little behind when we took off and my speed was a little slow but still went out over 70 feet. Already there is clips of these acts on youtube.

Rocky and I did 6 stunts in the pouring rain and wet muddy clay this evening. Rocky performed the car explosion, flaming house crash and did the featured stunt of jumping over a school bus lenght ways. I did a 3 car steel wall crash, torpedo crash sliding into the jump ramp for the bus jump and the Dooms Day Chair which was heard all over the fairgrounds.

He did a great job of executing this act as it was his first time to pwerform a stunt of this size.

The fairs off ice complained that we could not do this act again as people was scared since 9-11 which is an old excuse still being used. We all know it was the horse & farm animal that was startled who made the complaints. At least everyone knew I was there.

After driving 300 miles over night I set up another car explosion in the wettest and muddiest lot all year. Prior to my stunt. Danny Bones was doing his suicide drag and rolled in the fire and caught fire. He was burnt pritty bad with second degree burns on his hands as the safety crew could not get the pin out of the extingher. After the medical team took him off to the hospital it was my time to explode the car and do a firewalk. This night I kept the noise level down.

(An aerial School Bus Steel Wall Crash)
Rocky and I performed 3 stunts that evening. First I blew up a car with Rocky in it. We blew off the hood and than Rocky did a great burn. Next I flew an automobile into a school bus standing on it's rear bumper. I thought I was the first American to do this act but in July I found out Spanky had done a couple in Texas in January. I guess we both got the idea from Europe. The only different was I did mine with a completely stock auto and Spanky did his in a set up car. The last stunt was Rocky flew a coachman motorhome over 60 feet off a giant 8 foot high dirt pile. Boy did the coachman crumble up on impact.

A busy night as I started out with a roll-over, drove the battering ram with Justin Wrongway on the hood for only his second time. Than I did the Dooms Day Chair Explosion shacking up the emergency crew and Wrongway and ended up performing a small divebomber crash coming up a little short in the jump.

The show was cancelled because of the rain and thunder storms that came by earlier in the evening but was rescheduled for the following night in which I had a loud blast when I once again performed the dooms day chair. Everyone on the fairgrounds and midway heard the explosion of when I set off the charge.

I had to cancell this show for lack of liability insurance as my agent from Norton Insurance could not find a company to write the policy after looking for it since May and time ran out. This is the first time I have cancelled a show in more than 10 years. I really want to Thank! the 2 insurance agents for stringing me on to the last day. And the one agent who gave me a quate of $5,000 for a $7500 show. How do you pay help, supplies and travel expences out of $2500.

After a test drop of an automobile during the day that put the front end of the car into the front seat area I still went ahead and performed for my first time the Kamakazie Death Drop. Earlier in the show my Dooms Day Chair fizzled as only one bomb went off in stead of the two but that is show business live.

A great show of outstanding stunts. Lou, Rocky and myself performed 13 stunts and burnt up over 40 gallons of gas that night. Short handed as NO SHOW Johnny "THUNDER" Anderson did not show up or even called the show went on minus 3 acts. Everyone thought we were nuts for what we did. I performed the very first automobile ramp to ramp jump in more than 5 years on any show in the US using a junk Metro. A perfect landing driving off the ramps and back in front of the grandstand.

12 Big Stunts
We did 13 big stunts in the smallest area we worked in all years with grandstands on both sides of the area. Most of the acts were featured acts not scene on other shows. As soon as we exploded the car the crowds from the grounds came into see what we were doing and stayed. After the show the crowds left instead of staying to see some country singer who I never heard of, Cowboy (somebuddy) from Nashville. His agent was upset because they went on after our show instead of before the show everyone came to see. The only thing that went wrong, we were not organized for this show. Extra help that worked the show was Arno Selberg from South Dakota and Wild Bill Dominck from Ohio. The show was right on schedule for show time 60 minutes and loaded in less than 15 minutes. But it took over 1 hour to bring out the stage, set-up and start the show when everything was already to go on the stage. They were the real professionals.

Another personnel appearence, this time in downtown Concord to great audience. A question and answer period was held after the film showing. With the audience asking Crash questions about the business for more than a half hour.
